Entrepreneurship Advisor

Rock Andre is founder and Executive Director of CEDEL HAITI. He has a bachelor degree in Economics from CTPEA- Haiti and received a Masters in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University, plus another Masters in Entrepreneurship. He has spent significant time consulting with business in Haiti, South Africa and United States, where he produced tangible deliverable to make businesses more sustainable Rock is currently a Professor of Venture Creation at Universite Quisqueya. He hosts a weekly radio show on Entrepreneurship and will help FormatAide to support Small business leaders in Haiti

Gérard Marie Tardieu

Mr. Tardieu holds an associate education degree from Laval University in Montreal (Canada) and has successfully launched several businesses in Haiti including a High School and other professional education and training programs. M. Tardieu is also author and editor of many education books and is well invested in the education sector in Haiti. He has been bestowed the title of Haiti-Digicel Entrepreneur of the year 2013. Mr Tardieu is bringing more than 50 years of experience in education and training to help FormatAide better adapt and deliver business training to small business leaders in Haiti.

Michael C. Bush, Advisor

Business Advisor

Michael C. Bush is a champion of small businesses and job creation, he has more than 30 years of experience and has developed the 8 factor framework that helps thousands of entrepreneurs learn how to increase business. In addition to his management consulting work, Michael is also a member of President Obama’s White House Business Council, that help shape policy on issues that impact small businesses. Michael received his M.S. in Management from The Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. Michael brought the 8 factors business framework to help ForrmatAide reaching its vision.

Arturo Noriega

Business Advisor

Arturo is the founder and executive director of Centro Community Partners and the creator of its advanced entrepreneurship development program. Arturo has an MBA in Strategic Management and Leadership from the Peter F. Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University and a BA in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the Haas School of Business from U.C. Berkeley. Arturo brings more than 20 years of experience in consulting with a focus on economic development combined with Centro Community’s resources model that have been proven to be adaptable to the SMSE in Haiti.

Jennie has particular interest and specialization in educational and workforce development strategies that help lower-skilled youth and adults advance in their careers. As a self-business owner, Jennie supports non-profits, educational institutions, foundations and public agencies through her planning, fundraising and program development services. Jennie approaches each project with passion, creativity and an open mind. Jennie is bringing her experience and passion for relationships to help FormatAide in the fundraising and performance measurement areas.

Kareen Delice Kircher

Many years ago, Kareen Kircher found a kindred spirit in Sephora when they met through Partners of the Americas. As an Advisor-at-Large, Kareen is eager to connect FormatAide with supporters who will actively help Haiti’s SMB sector flourish. Kareen attended Yale University, and is passionate about using technology to solve business problems in various verticals. She has established a reputation for being responsive to dynamic conditions. Kareen is an active member, speaker, and writer for technical publications in NYC.

Darcelle C. Lahr

Treasurer

Darcelle Lahr leads a minority/woman-owned management consulting practice, heads a nonprofit social enterprise, and lectures in the MBA program at Mills College. She brings unique expertise in organizational strategy, and a keen understanding of the challenges of micro- and social-enterprise leadership. Her compassionate, seasoned guidance supports FormatAide in transitioning from an inspired vision to dynamic catalyst for change. Darcelle earned her Executive MBA with honors from CSU East Bay, and BSME from Stanford University.

Diane C. Lewis

Secretary

Diane Lewis is an attorney who has practiced primarily in the areas of economic and community development, redevelopment, affordable housing and real estate. She has worked in large law firms, and served as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Oakland, CA for over a decade. Ms. Lewis obtained her J. D. from the University of California, hasting College of Law, and her M. S. in Urban Planning from Columbia University. She has serviced on numerous nonprofit Boards and is bringing her expertise to FormatAide’s governance board.

Séphora is the driving force fueling and nurturing FormatAide. She is passionate about this cause, for which she carries a dynamic, determined and sensitive vision. She values anyone who touches her life as a blessing, and embraces others with integrity, inclusion, fairness and respect. Sephora earned a master degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Non Profit management from Mills College and she is certified project manager. Scott Watkins

Creative Director

Scott Watkins is an active innovative entrepreneur with many companies in its portfolio. Scott is also a prolific web designer who is responsible for developing the business identity of Formataide. Scott is a candidate for a Master in Business Administration from Mills College. As a creative Director, Scott is currently developing a complete marketing strategy that aims to tell the story of how Formataide and the 8 factors can bring affordable training program to Small to Medium Sized Entrepreneurs in Haiti to build strong economies throughout country.

Travia Smith

Travia (Tray) Smith comes with a background in business operations, marketing and over 15 years of working with non-profits. She is a certified professional coach, recent MBA graduate from Mills College and a public speaking trainer for H324, an organization which provides organizational training, coaching and consulting. Travia has worked in marketing for three management consulting organizations. Travia brings her experience and passion for relationship building to help FormatAide carry out its mission to help SMSE in Haiti.
